What a DEAL!

These beautiful gems appeared on my front porch this week.  The big one on the right is the "Ox Heart" variety of tomato, over a pound and bursting with flavor!  So, why did they just appear?  Because I've got the best deal around!  Here's how it works:

These guys not only bring me lots of joy, but understand... what goes in must come out!

POOP!

That's right, buckets and buckets of the stuff!  So what's a girl to do?  Deliver it to a gardener extraordinaire just down the road, so he can return it in a much prettier form!  

These gems are almost seedless, and so very flavorful.  This time of year makes breakfast, lunch, and dinner really easy.  So go enjoy the rest of the summer, and shop at your local farmer's market.  The one good result of this miserable drought is that the veggies are powerfully flavored thanks to the sunshine and high temps!

So having these adorable pets around does have its benefits.  They sure are fun!
