All In Fun!

Earlier this year Kevin decided too many usually chippper people were down in the dumps.  In typical Kevie fashion, he decided to remedy the situation himself....by throwing a big party JUST FOR FUN.  Given the nature of our property, a Derby Party seemed like the perfect choice.  Early May weather in Indiana is always iffy, so with many helping hands, we had a PLAN, and a PLAN B (in red denoting emergency contingency).  But all was well.  Not only did the sun shine down, but all the smiles and laughs definitely brightened up our little corner of the earth.  I do believe a good time was had by all......and thanks to the foresight of two young men (Adam and Eric) AUTISM SPEAKS received a $300 donation!  Thanks for coming out!

Senior Prom 2009

The weekend was delightful for the seniors heading off to Prom.  It's always fun having the group over for pictures seeing all the lovely young ladies and dapper young men.  Even Jim R got in on the act this year by having his classic Cutlass available for photos, even if it wasn't on purpose.

Hectic Household!

Kevin decided our backyard was in need of a makeover, and tadah.....here is the new space in progress, and complete with gas firepit and water feature (installed by Eric and Kevin).  Good job guys!

Eric was selected as Best Delegate at the last Model UN competition, which was extra special because his sister was NOT selected!  And while we are on the subject of Eric...he is trying something new this year.  Pole Vault!  To date he has cleared 8'.  Nice effort!

Spring Break '09

Thanks to the Covals, Kroemers, Dunns, Edelmans, Joey, Karen, and Tom for all the laughs and relaxation!  If you're inclined to cruise in the future, Royal Caribbean does a fine job.  The weather helped of course, since it was sunny and 70-80's every day!  Turning 16 & 18 on a Caribbean cruise will be a memory for a lifetime, I'm sure.  Glad you enjoyed your days, Sarah and Eric!  Also happy to report that the norovirus, Norwalk GI attacks were limited to OTHER passengers, and none of our own 23!  Being quarantined in a cruise cabin would not be a dream vacation!  If you are in the mood for laughing while reading, Jen Lancaster's books are a must!  I think of a vacation as sucessful if more than a couple books are completed, and I got thruough four!  Here are a few photos....
