Impromptu Ski Vacation

Well it wasn't a sunny beach on a caribbean island....(THANK YOU DELTA Airlines!)...but it was a great break from the daily doldrums. Something about our Rocky Mountains makes my heart sing with joy...hope you enjoy the few shots taken on my new Flip Video!

We were able to ski ALL DAY LONG (thanks to regular workouts paying off!) and enjoy the entire mountain. If you find yourselves in The Winter Park area, be sure to dine at The Tabernash Tavern on US 40 west of Winter Park....it has incredible food, great beer, and a delightful atmosphere.

Hoping you all share lots of laughter with your loved ones this weekend! With a -2 Degree reading on the way to Eric's school this morning, it seems like a good weekend to stay in and be cozy! The "Frozen Fog" was sure pretty though, especially when the sun peeked through.

Indiana Winter

Hats off to Boone REMC for fielding a 1:52 AM call from us - NO POWER - and showing up less than an hour later in the middle of a blustery snowstorm to repair the downed line! Very impressive...but maybe installing a generator might be a good idea anyway!

Today is a new day - gorgeous sunshine- and up in Boston, Sarah successfully qualified for the Division III New England Competition in a few weeks! We are very proud of her and happy that her hard work has overridden the "less than impressive" coordination genes her dad and I passed on to her!!
