Eric's Philmont Adventure

So exactly one week has passed since we dropped Eric off at the airport to head out to New Mexico for two weeks of BSA hiking and camping.  I received a call today from an unknown number.  It was Eric calling from the summit of Mt. Baldy, New Mexico.  Cell reception was great, so they let all the boys phone home.  He was thrilled about all of his adventures to date.  Prior to the trip he was worried about the food, but said it is actually really good.  Click on this link to see another hiker's account of Mt. Whew! What a Ride!

Who knew having your offspring complete a normal milestone would create such havoc on one household?! Meaningful gifts to create.....meaningful relationships to honor.....senior night.....open houses galore.....more meaningful gifts to create......relatives to invite..... baccalaureate to attend.....senior church service.....and GRADUATION! All this amidst the "regular" stuff..i.e. hubby gone for weeks on end, work, sports, school, animals, etc...... It's been a whirlwind, but enjoyable none the less. Here are some pics from our weekend for those who couldn't make it. Thanks to all who helped make Sarah's time so special, and for all those who travelled the distance for the occasion! We love you!
