23 Years of Wedded Bliss and Happy National Holiday Kevie!

That's right - it's official...he has now been married for HALF of his life! Yes it is the better half :)
What is the story behind the cake with polk-a-dots, you ask? Well - he really is 46 going on 5. Did you notice the fancy first birthday cake his niece Evelyn enjoyed in a previous blog? Also recently, his 15 year old nephew sported really cool (for a 15 yr old) polk-a-dot shorts. Envious of both, Kevin made sure we all knew that he wanted both for HIS birthday! We are still waiting on the shorts to arrive - but the cake was fancy - SUCCESS! YES!
Meet Mathilde our guest from France! We have enjoyed getting to know her and having her as part of family. Today with cousin Anna visiting from Chicago, we all enjoyed the Trader's Point Grand Prix. It was a balmy 92 degrees, extremely humid, but the light breeze saved the day!

She's One!!

Where does the time go??? Evelyn turned one last week, so we celebrated in style! She is really an incredibly happy kid - hope we can see more of her in her second year of life! Enjoyed the family time and we finally got to meet Steve! Welcome to this crazy family - and you demonstrated that you will successfully hold your own. Looking forward to many great times in the future.

Skyrocket in Flight!

Eric and I experienced flying over Royal Gorge Canyon with a bird's eye view....
We HIGHLY recommend it! It always good to see the world from a different perspective when the opportunity presents itself.

Summer Vacation '09

Having just returned from Colorado Springs, thought a few photos would sum up the trip...from the Yellow-Bellied Marmot on Pike's Peak (14,110 ft), white water rafting, riding the Skycoaster over the Royal Gorge, checking out the Air Force Academy, to relaxing at the beautiful grounds of the Broadmoor, a good time was had by all. If you have an opportunity to visit that part of our nation, we recommend it! Next time you speak to Kevin, ask him how he liked the SUSPENSION BRIDGE!
